I have installed kitchens for Peter Allain and his crew.  As an installer, it is refreshing to work with a team that pays attention to the inner workings of each job.  They have the skills to do the work themselves, but know when to hire quality subs to keep jobs moving.

We hired Peter Allain and his top notch crew (a shout out to Dave and Russ) to, among other things, re-side our 1938 Royal Barry Willis Cape.  We had no insulation and many rotten boards. Peter recommended a cement composite as a replacement siding. We had never heard of Hardie Board but after visiting another historic home he had completed with the composite, we were sold

Peter Allain is a very competent builder, who pays attention costs, and stays on top of the details and quality of his own and his subcontractors work. Professionally, an an architect I found he was very easy to work with. He understood the concepts of the design and how it influenced decisions on things not in the drawing set.
